Seoul has expressed its intent to assist Kinshasa in its development journey by sharing its own successful strategies.

“South Korea hopes to help the Democratic Republic of Congo achieve its development through the knowledge we’ve gained,” said Joeng Hong Geun, Korean Ambassador to the DRC, following a meeting with Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Grâce Yamba Kazadi.

Highlighting the significant potential for enhanced cooperation, Ambassador Joeng emphasized, “The DRC is a key partner with great potential for broader collaboration.”

He praised the numerous joint projects accomplished through the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and other UN agencies, marking the 60th anniversary of Korea-DRC cooperation in 2023.

Vice Minister Yamba Kazadi reaffirmed Kinshasa’s commitment to fostering bilateral relations. “We advocate friendly and fraternal ties between our nations and hope to continue these bilateral relations,” she stated.

In a symbolic gesture of goodwill, Ambassador Joeng presented computer and transport equipment to Vice Minister Yamba Kazadi, further solidifying the partnership between the two countries.
