The coastal city of Sousse, located in eastern Tunisia, is set to become a global hub for the textile and clothing industry this October, as it prepares to host the 7th edition of the International Textile and Clothing Fair from October 16 to 18.
The event promises to bring together key players from the sector, with over 250 exhibitors and around 700 business leaders from both Tunisia and abroad expected to attend.
Held at the renowned Sousse Exhibition Center, the fair is positioned as a critical platform for networking, innovation, and collaboration within the textile and clothing industries.
Abdelaziz Dahmani, CEO of the Exhibition Center, emphasized the venue’s state-of-the-art infrastructure, designed to cater to the growing scale of the event.
“We have ensured that all necessary infrastructure is in place to guarantee the success of this important fair,” Dahmani stated during a press conference on Sunday.
The organizers anticipate a record attendance of nearly 7,000 visitors, reflecting a steady rise in numbers compared to previous editions.
“Our priority is to improve services and create optimal conditions for more than 700 businessmen and over 250 companies, both Tunisian and international,” Dahmani added.
Countries such as Tunisia, Libya, Algeria, Morocco, France, Italy, Germany, and India will have a significant presence, offering a diverse representation from both regional and global markets.
The fair will also feature six Tunisian start-ups, showcasing their innovative solutions in the fields of circular and sustainable economies, with a particular focus on environmental responsibility and social impact as export drivers.
The event’s agenda goes beyond traditional exhibitions, with several conferences and thematic workshops planned to delve into the latest trends and technological advancements in the textile and clothing sectors.
These sessions will provide valuable insights into how the industry is evolving, with particular emphasis on sustainability and circular economy practices.
The 7th International Textile and Clothing Fair is expected to further cement Tunisia’s position as a key player in the global textile industry, providing a crucial platform for collaboration, innovation, and the exchange of ideas among manufacturers, suppliers, and investors.
