The Abdou Diouf International Conference Centre (CICAD) in Diamniadio is set to host the second edition of the Invest in Senegal Forum (Fii Senegal 2025) on 7 and 8 October, under the theme “Putting innovation at the service of sustainability.”
“The Invest in Senegal Forum is a showcase where the country demonstrates how innovation, sustainability, and transparency converge to support its growth model,” said Bakary Séga Bathily, Director General of the Agency for the Promotion of Investments and Major Projects (APIX).
Among the key moments of the forum will be a presentation led by APIX unveiling Senegal’s new 2025 Investment Code. The new framework introduces broader incentives, simplified administrative procedures, easier access to land, and expanded support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Fii Senegal 2025 will also highlight the nation’s Vision 2050 achievements, including the 500 MW solar power plant, emerging wind farms, the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system, and the Regional Express Train (TER) — major projects reinforcing the country’s sustainable development trajectory.
Additional initiatives on display will focus on circular agriculture, agri-energy, water transfer infrastructure, and digital transformation through the Startup Act, sovereign cloud strategy, and the national data center.
On the social and entrepreneurial front, platforms like the Rapid Entrepreneurship Delegation (DER/FJ) and the Senegalese Agency for the Development and Supervision of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (ADEPME) continue to empower women and youth through financing, mentoring, and technical training programs.
The two-day event will feature a high-level panel on energy and strategic resources, discussions on industrial mapping and investment potential, and a session dedicated to information technology and artificial intelligence.
A startup pitch competition and dialogues on the impact of technology in agriculture will also form part of the agenda.
“By highlighting initiatives that bring shared prosperity and strategic impact to the region, Fii Senegal emphasizes its theme: connecting opportunities, building the future,” concluded Mr. Bathily.
