President of the African union meets Kuwait crown prince and UAE president at COP29

The President of the Republic Islamic of Mauritania and African Union Chairperson, Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani, held talks on Tuesday with Kuwait’s Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, during the 29th session of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The meeting focused on strengthening the distinguished ties between their countries and exploring avenues for enhanced cooperation across multiple sectors.
Discussions also addressed regional and international developments, with an emphasis on deepening coordination between both nations.
Ghazouani was accompanied at the talks by Nani Ould Achrouqa, Minister of the Presidency.
In a separate engagement, President Ghazouani met with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, President of the United Arab Emirates, also on the sidelines of COP29.
The leaders emphasized the importance of further solidifying bilateral relations and explored collaborative initiatives in various fields.
The talks extended to matters of mutual interest on regional and global issues, underscoring the commitment to closer strategic cooperation.
Minister Nani Ould Achrouqa was also present during the meeting with the UAE President.
