Moroccan logistics operator Logidoo has taken a major step in its pan-African expansion by acquiring Ivorian road transport startup Kamtar, the company announced in September 2025.
The move is part of Logidoo’s strategy to strengthen trade corridors linking North and West Africa, consolidating its footprint in Côte d’Ivoire, a key regional hub for commerce.
“ The acquisition of Kamtar marks an important milestone for Logidoo.
It allows us to strengthen our corridors between Morocco and Côte d’Ivoire and offer our customers more integrated, reliable, and competitive transport solutions,” said Tamsir Ousmane Traoré, founder and CEO of Logidoo Group.
Founded in 2019, Casablanca-based Logidoo has rapidly positioned itself as a dynamic player in African cross-border trade. Its hybrid logistics model combines digital platforms with physical infrastructure to ensure fluidity and traceability of goods across the continent.
Kamtar, which has been active in the West African market for over a decade, is known for its collaborations with international and local companies in sectors including agri-food, construction, and industrial logistics.
Its integration into Logidoo is expected to enhance operational efficiency and expand service offerings across the region.
The acquisition complements Logidoo’s broader ecosystem, which includes TexMiles, specialising in last-mile delivery in Senegal; Afridoo, providing management solutions for African e-merchants; and Doomaket, a B2B marketplace connecting merchants to suppliers with integrated payment, storage, and delivery services.
By digitising supply chains and pooling infrastructure, Logidoo aims to tackle structural challenges in intra-African trade such as high transport costs, fragmented markets, and border delays.
Already present in Senegal, Morocco, Ivory Coast, and Tunisia, Logidoo serves over 600 customers and has completed more than 200,000 transactions, with operations in eight African countries. The group’s vision is to connect African markets with each other and the global economy, relying on technology, transparency, and reliable service.
