Morocco’s aeronautics industry has recorded €1.3 billion in exports during the first half of 2025, highlighting the sector’s rapid growth and its rising status as a regional aerospace hub.
At the 8th edition of Aerospace Casablanca, held in Nouaceur, Morocco signed three strategic agreements aimed at expanding local production, introducing advanced technologies, and diversifying skilled professions.
The signing ceremony, attended by Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour, marked a milestone in strengthening Morocco’s aerospace value chain.
The first agreement, with Ratier-Figeac Maroc, establishes a new assembly line for cockpit equipment. The second, signed with Nicomatic, involves the creation of an industrial unit in Casablanca for illuminated front panels used in aircraft cockpits.
The third, with Redstart Aero, focuses on expanding the company’s production site to manufacture precision aircraft components.
“These projects will strengthen our local integration and position Morocco in high value-added segments,” said Minister Mezzour, noting the role of Collins Aerospace as a driving force in the supply chain.
The Moroccan Aeronautics and Space Industries Group (GIMAS) reported that women now make up nearly 40% of the sector’s workforce, reflecting both the inclusivity and dynamism of the industry.
Ali Seddiki, Director General of the Moroccan Agency for the Development of Investments and Exports (AMDIE), praised “the quality of Moroccan human capital” and the country’s industrial governance, which continue to attract global investors and manufacturers.
Beyond the agreements, Aerospace Casablanca serves as a key platform for international partnerships. Morocco is already engaged in collaborations with major industry players such as Boeing and Safran, showcasing its technological capabilities and ambition to become a leading aerospace hub in Africa and the Mediterranean.
With strategic investment, advanced training, and targeted industrial development, Morocco’s aeronautics sector is positioned for sustained growth, offering high-value employment opportunities and reinforcing the country’s industrial footprint on the global stage.
The recent agreements and export achievements underline Morocco’s commitment to high-tech manufacturing and its vision of long-term competitiveness in the aerospace industry.
