In a statement released on September 25, CCM-PPM described the election outcome as a clear expression of the Malawian people’s collective voice. “We are delighted that justice has served the will of the people of Malawi. Your triumph is a reflection of the collective voice of Malawians who have spoken clearly and decisively,” the group said.
The movement expressed optimism that under the leadership of Mutharika and Ansah, the nation would continue on a path of unity, peace, and development. It emphasized the importance of national cohesion and inclusive governance in achieving sustainable progress for all citizens.
CCM-PPM also pledged its support and constructive engagement with the new administration. “We stand ready to work with the government to ensure that Malawi thrives for the good of all its citizens,” the statement read.
The group concluded by invoking a blessing for the incoming leaders, urging them to exercise wisdom, courage, and integrity as they assume the country’s highest offices. “May God guide you with wisdom, courage, and integrity as you take up this noble responsibility to serve Malawi,” it said.
The congratulatory message from CCM-PPM reflects a broader call among civil society groups for peaceful transitions and accountable leadership in Malawi, highlighting the critical role of citizens in strengthening democratic institutions.
