Alhoussein Makanéra Kaké, former Minister of Communication and current coordinator of the GMD25 Synergy, reaffirmed his steadfast support for Guinea’s transitional president, General Mamadi Doumbouya, during a meeting with a delegation from the National Transitional Council (CNT) on June 24.
Speaking at the GMD25 Synergy headquarters, Makanéra underscored his conviction that General Doumbouya is the true heir to the revolutionary values championed by Sékou Touré, the revered first president of independent Guinea.
“(…) As for the revolutionaries, (…), we share what is dearest to me: my love for the father of Guinean independence who, today, has an heir,” he declared passionately, under the attentive gaze of the CNT delegation.
For Makanéra Kaké, his allegiance is grounded not merely in political alignment but in a profound sense of patriotic duty. He emphasized that the transitional leader embodies the spirit and teachings of Sékou Touré with unwavering fidelity.
“I believe that this is the main reason for my commitment behind General Mamadi Doumbouya, in close ranks like a lead-sealed building, because he follows to the letter the teachings of the great Syli Sékhou.
It is a school of love of the fatherland,” he said.
Makanéra’s words highlight the ongoing influence of Guinea’s founding father on contemporary politics, positioning General Doumbouya as a custodian of the nation’s revolutionary heritage during this transitional period.
