The Libyan National Meteorological Centre has forecasted relatively mild weather conditions across most of the country, with daytime temperatures expected to range between 24°C and 32°C.
This period of moderate weather is anticipated to continue over the next two days, particularly in central and eastern regions.
In a statement issued by the Weather Forecasting Department, meteorologists noted that a slight rise in temperatures is likely to affect western parts of Libya. Alongside this increase, active winds are expected to pick up in some northern areas starting tomorrow, potentially affecting visibility and general weather comfort.
“Cloud cover will increase from time to time over the northeastern regions, especially in the areas extending from Benghazi through the Green Mountain to Tobruk,” the report stated. “And may be interspersed with light showers of rain.”
The forecast also highlights growing cloud activity in the western mountainous areas and their southern extensions by tomorrow evening. Affected regions include the stretch from eastern Tripoli to Al-Khums, as well as Mislata and its neighbouring districts, Tarhuna, and Bani Walid.
“Clouds are expected to increase tomorrow evening over the Western Mountains and its southern regions, in addition to the areas extending from eastern Tripoli to Al-Khums, Mislata and its surrounding areas, Tarhuna, and Bani Walid, with the possibility of thunderstorms and light rain showers,” the statement continued.
Residents in the mentioned areas are advised to stay informed about daily weather updates, particularly as the risk of localised thunderstorms could affect transport, outdoor plans, and agricultural activities.
No severe weather warnings have been issued at this time, but the Meteorological Centre is urging the public to exercise caution as conditions evolve through the week.
