Libya’s national football team has received a major boost ahead of upcoming competitions, thanks to the support of Lieutenant General Khaled Haftar.
The Libyan Football Federation (LFF) has formally expressed its gratitude for Haftar’s initiative, which included providing a private plane for the team’s delegation to travel to Angola and covering all accommodation expenses during their stay.
The LFF also highlighted Haftar’s sponsorship of the national team’s internal training camp in Benghazi.
The camp is part of preparations for the crucial match against Eswatini, scheduled at the Benghazi International Stadium. Officials described the initiative as a “significant milestone in the team’s continental journey” and praised its impact on the players’ technical and physical readiness.
