
The Libyan Research Authority and the National Industrial Promotion Agency held a high-level meeting on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, to explore collaborative strategies aimed at supporting innovators, inventors, and entrepreneurs.
Dr. Faisal Abdelazim Al-Abdali, Director General of the Libyan Research Authority, met with Eng. Miftah Aqila Al-Senussi, Chairman of the National Industrial Promotion Agency, in the capital, Tripoli.
The discussion focused on developing frameworks for cooperation in scientific research and studies that could advance Libya’s industrial sector.
“The meeting aims to strengthen partnerships between national institutions and support innovation pathways that contribute to sustainable development goals in Libya,” the Research Authority said in a statement on its official Facebook page.
Officials highlighted that collaboration between research bodies and industrial development agencies is essential for fostering a culture of innovation, encouraging entrepreneurship, and translating scientific discoveries into practical industrial applications.
Present at the discussions were Eng. Suleiman Ali Al-Khatali, Director of Industrial Development, and Dr. Nasser Oumhamed Ben Halim, Director of Planning and Follow-up.
Both underscored the importance of structured programs to mentor and support innovators, ensuring that research outputs can be effectively applied in commercial and industrial contexts.
The initiative is part of a broader national effort to modernize Libya’s industrial sector through research-driven innovation and the development of entrepreneurial talent.
By combining scientific expertise with industrial strategy, the two institutions hope to accelerate the creation of new technologies and solutions that can strengthen economic growth and competitiveness.
