The Medical Supply Authority has begun distributing a fresh shipment of general medicines to hospitals and health facilities across multiple regions in Libya, as part of a national initiative to strengthen the country’s healthcare system and meet growing medical demands.
In a statement released via its official Facebook page on Thursday, the Authority confirmed that the distribution was carried out under a structured and transparent process, designed to reflect the specific needs of each medical institution.
The facilities receiving supplies include Fasano Rural Hospital, Swani Bin Adam Health Services, Ajilat Combined Clinic, Sorman Pharmacy Warehouses, Bani Walid Pharmacy Warehouses, Al-Awiniya Health Services, Souq Al-Khamis Health Care, Janzour Health Services, Janzour General Hospital, the General Administration of the Military Medicine Service, Al-Maya Health Services, Tarhuna General Hospital, and the Burns and Plastic Surgery Hospital.
The Authority stated that this delivery forms part of its ongoing series of measures to guarantee the consistent provision of essential medicines and medical supplies to hospitals and clinics nationwide.
These efforts, it added, aim to strengthen the efficiency of healthcare facilities and improve the quality of services available to Libyan citizens.
Reaffirming its dedication to supporting the country’s health sector, the Medical Supply Authority emphasised that regular distributions like this are crucial for reducing shortages and maintaining stability across the medical supply chain.
According to the Authority, further consignments of medicines are expected to be dispatched in the coming weeks as part of its strategic plan to address the needs of public and specialised healthcare institutions throughout Libya.
