The National Meteorological Centre has forecast mild weather across most regions of Libya over the next three days, beginning today, Saturday. Some northwestern areas are expected to experience intermittent cloud cover with occasional light rain, while winds will pick up in parts of the northeast.
According to the centre, clouds will build intermittently along the coastal strip from Ras Jedir to Sirte, passing through the Jefara Plain and Jebel Nafusa.
Light and scattered showers are likely, particularly between Zawiya and Sirte. Inland regions such as Tarhuna, Bani Walid, and parts of the southern mountains may also see brief rainfall. Winds in these areas will be easterly, light to moderate, with maximum temperatures ranging between 29°C and 33°C.
In the Gulf, the Benghazi Plain, and eastwards to Amsaad, skies will generally be clear with occasional cloud build-up over Jebel Akhdar. Northerly to northeasterly winds will be moderate to strong, occasionally reaching speeds of up to 50 km/h between Benghazi and Shahat. These gusts may stir up dust and sand, while temperatures are expected to range from 25°C to 31°C.
Central and southern regions including Jufra, Sabha, Ghat, Ghadames, and Al-Hamada will see mostly clear skies with light to moderate northeasterly to easterly winds. Maximum temperatures in these areas will vary between 32°C and 36°C.
In the oases of Al-Wahat, Sarir, Tazerbo, and Kufra, clear skies are forecast, with light to moderate winds from the northwest to northeast. Temperatures are expected to reach between 33°C and 36°C.
The National Meteorological Centre further noted that no significant changes in temperature are anticipated across the country over the coming days, indicating a continuation of generally mild conditions.
