
Libya’s Under-21 volleyball scene witnessed thrilling action as the first stage of the national finals concluded at Misurata Sports Hall on Monday evening.
Four decisive matches set the stage for the quarter-finals, with Al-Nasr and Al-Suwaihli emerging as the leaders of their respective groups.
Al-Nasr showcased an impeccable performance, defeating Al-Ittihad in straight sets (25-21, 25-20, 25-21) to secure full points and claim the top spot in Group One. Their flawless display underlined the team’s determination and tactical strength throughout the opening stage.
Equally impressive, Al-Suwaihli maintained their unbeaten streak by overpowering Al-Jazeera in three consecutive sets (25-21, 25-22, 25-22).
Their consistent performance earned them first place in Group Two, setting them up as strong contenders for the title.
Other matches also provided high-intensity volleyball. Al-Bishara overcame Al-Nahda in four sets (25-15, 26-24, 17-25, 25-17), while Al-Ittihad Misrata edged past Al-Hilal with a 3-1 victory (20-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-20), highlighting the competitive depth of the tournament.
According to sources from the organizing committee, the final group rankings confirmed Al-Nasr and Al-Suwaihli as group leaders, earning them favourable positions as the competition progresses into the knockout phase.
