Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced on Wednesday a significant surge in crude oil and condensate production, reaching a combined total output of 1,577,101 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d), marking the highest levels recorded in more than ten years.
According to a statement posted on the NOC’s official Facebook page, the country has achieved a production rate of 1,374,118 barrels of crude oil per day, alongside 202,983 boe/d of gas condensates, culminating in the notable total output figure.
The corporation highlighted the relentless efforts of oil field and port workers, who have been operating around the clock to drive up production levels and contribute to Libya’s broader economic stability.
“Our workers continue to persevere through immense challenges to ensure daily production rates are increased,” the statement read.
NOC reported a daily increase of 37,701 barrels of crude oil and an additional 24,461 boe of gas.
The production boost was attributed to the support of the outgoing Government of National Unity, which has provided a secure and stable environment for Libya’s armed forces to maintain operations across all regions, including the east, west, and south.
This stability, coupled with the dedication and professionalism exhibited by the nation’s oil sector workforce, has been key to achieving this milestone.
The NOC emphasized that these production figures are the highest seen in Libya in over a decade, underscoring the crucial efforts made to fortify and revitalize the oil industry.
As a cornerstone of the national economy, the oil sector’s recovery and growth reflect a collective commitment to overcoming challenges and maximizing Libya’s resource potential.
