
A spirited round of competition unfolded at the picturesque Limuru Country Club over the weekend, where 206 golfers teed off in the latest leg of the NCBA Golf Series, all vying for a coveted place in the Grand Finale.
John Kariuki, playing off scratch, stood out with a commanding performance, clinching the Overall Gross Men’s Winner title after carding a 72 gross score. His accuracy and consistency across the course cemented his place among the six new qualifiers for the series finale.
Among the women, Nancy Wairimu delivered a stellar performance to secure the Overall Gross Lady Winner title. Playing off a handicap of 3, Wairimu posted a score of 78 gross in a strong and steady round that left her peers trailing.
“It was a challenging course, but I stuck to my game plan. I’m thrilled to have qualified for the Grand Finale,” Wairimu said following her round.
She further underlined her dominance by winning the Longest Drive Lady category, capping off a weekend to remember with two top accolades to her name.
Held under warm skies and vibrant fairways, the Limuru edition of the NCBA Golf Series was one of the most competitive yet, reflecting the tournament’s growing stature in Kenya’s golfing calendar.
As the series progresses toward its finale, anticipation is building around who will emerge as the top contenders in what has become a key platform for both seasoned and rising golf talents in the region.
