A sewing workshop has been awarded to Miss Kouadio Nadège, the talented winner of the inaugural “Dynafille” competition, an inspiring initiative spearheaded by the young girls’ commission of the Protestant Evangelical Church CMA in Côte d’Ivoire’s Abidjan 2 region.
Miss Kouadio Nadège was honoured for her exceptional skill, creativity, and dedication during a ceremony held on July 23, 2025, at the Maroc Antenne market in Yopougon, Abidjan West.
Alongside the fully equipped workshop named “Dyna Design, Stylist-Model Maker,” she received a trophy, a training voucher worth 500,000 FCFA, and an industrial sewing machine valued at 200,000 FCFA.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by N’Guessan Rosine, representative of the Ministry of Women, Family, and Children, in the presence of numerous supporters who gathered to celebrate this milestone.
The workshop boasts professional sewing machines and dressmaking mannequins, signalling a significant step forward for young women pursuing financial independence through skilled craftsmanship.
Adjoumani Marie-Laure Kouassi, CEO of La Maison Ligne d’Or and president of the jury, presented Miss Kouadio with a basting machine, underscoring the competition’s aim: “Dyna Design is here to reveal the art of dressing well.”
The event also welcomed key figures such as N’Da Armand, national president of the JEP/CMA, regional president Yoboué Armel, and Reverend Lohoua Philippe, regional superintendent representative of the CMA Evangelical Protestant Church. They all praised the project as a promising springboard for empowering young Christian women.
Launched in November 2022, the “Dynafille” competition—short for “Dynamique Fille”—was born from a desire to nurture young women within the CMA Church, promoting their autonomy through apprenticeship opportunities. The contest attracted 24 seamstress candidates across five districts, culminating in a grand finale on October 21, 2023, at the CMA Church in Port-Bouët 2.
This initiative marks a hopeful chapter for many aspiring seamstresses, blending faith, creativity, and entrepreneurship to pave the way for a brighter future in Côte d’Ivoire.
