The Paris public primary school in Man has been officially equipped with an educational entertainment room, in a donation handed over by A+ Ivoire and Canal+ Ivory coast on September 23, 2025.
The initiative forms part of the broadcasters’ “Orphée” program, aimed at enriching learning environments across the country.
The handover ceremony was chaired by Vincent Yokoli, sub-prefect of Man, representing the prefect of the Tonkpi region.
The event brought together local education officials, traditional leaders, parents, and students, all of whom welcomed the new facility.
Sani Kouassi, from the partnership department of A+ and Canal+, explained the purpose of the initiative.
“It is within the framework of ‘Orphée,’ a Canal+ Impact label, that we are traveling across Côte d’Ivoire to offer our students entertainment rooms, to allow them to follow Canal+ channels, much more focused on the educational aspect, with the aim of enriching their knowledge,” he said.
He added that the project represents a targeted effort to support schools. “At our level, we try to make small gestures to support national education.
It is in this context that we built this room. We hope that it will be maintained so that students can fully benefit from it,” Mr Kouassi noted.
The new facility includes a library in addition to multimedia equipment such as a television and decoder.
Koko Bakary Bamba, Inspector of Preschool and Primary Education (IEPP) for Man, praised the initiative.
“I am pleased that Canal+ and A+ Ivoire are offering us this multimedia room, for the happiness of the children and to improve the quality of learning,” he said.
He highlighted that the donation aligns with the current school year’s theme: “a quality school, sustainable development.”
Sub-prefect Vincent Yokoli expressed gratitude on behalf of the regional prefect. “On behalf of the prefect, I would like to express my gratitude to A+ Ivoire, Canal+ Côte d’Ivoire, and all partners for this highly significant social initiative,” he said.
The administrator concluded that the new space provides a conducive environment for learning.
“Thanks to this room and this building, students now have a favorable environment to strengthen their knowledge, discover the digital world, and learn about technological tools on a daily basis,” he said.
With this addition, the Paris primary school in Man joins other institutions benefiting from the “Orphée” program, which aims to establish educational and play spaces throughout Côte d’Ivoire.
