Korhogo, August 26, 2025 – The Korhogo town hall has unveiled significant progress in its 2025 investment programme, with a strong focus on education, healthcare, and road infrastructure aimed at improving residents’ quality of life.
According to a report by the municipality’s technical services, several key projects have already been completed. Among them is the Logokaha drainage system, designed to combat seasonal flooding, as well as the construction of classrooms in Mongaha, Klokakaha and Natio-Kobadara 3.
These developments include administrative offices and latrines, alongside three new nursery classes in Natio-Kobadara 3.
Healthcare infrastructure has also seen marked improvements with the establishment of integrated health centres in Dokaha, Lognon and Kassirimé, while the Haoussabougou primary school has undergone major renovation. Additionally, a six-classroom facility has been constructed in Tchekelezo to expand educational access.
The town hall confirmed that more projects are underway, including new schools in Takali, Kassienrè, Djegbè, Logokaha and Dramanekaha. Plans also include the rehabilitation of 10 km of municipal roads to ease urban mobility and the construction of further health centres in Torgokaha, Sozoribougou, Logokaha, Kassienrè, Ossiéné and Klofouakaha.
Despite facing hurdles such as limited available land in the Gon Coulibaly district and the withdrawal of contractors from sites in Ahoussabougou and Gnalelekaha, the municipality has reiterated its determination to press ahead.
“The town hall remains committed to prioritising investments in basic social sectors,” the report emphasised, describing this strategy as a cornerstone for equitable and sustainable development across Korhogo.
The 2025 programme is part of the city’s broader vision to transform urban and rural spaces, improve public services, and address long-standing challenges in education, health and mobility for its growing population.
