Nanan N’drama Séka was officially invested as the new chief of Sanhoukro, a village in the sub-prefecture of Yaou, Aboisso department. The appointment ceremony was marked by the submission of his official order by Firmin Assi Abenon, secretary general 2 of the Aboisso prefecture.
Representing the prefect of the Sud-Comoé region, Légré Koukougnon, the secretary general tasked Nanan N’drama Séka with administering the village population in accordance with existing laws. He offered guidance and counsel, urging the new chief to carry out his duties with diligence and fairness.
The ceremony drew strong local support, with the deputy mayor of Adiaké, Hien Yacouba Sié, praising the community’s mobilization around their new leader. “We hope the cohesion and spirit of living together demonstrated today can be maintained as the village moves forward,” he said.
Nanan N’drama Séka, a former air force pilot previously known as Soungalo Ouattara, succeeds Nanan Kodjo Kassi, who passed away in 2021. His appointment was warmly welcomed by the residents, who view his leadership as an opportunity to usher in a new era of unity and development for Sanhoukro.
During his address, the new chief expressed his commitment to guiding the village with transparency and dedication. Community members expressed optimism that his leadership will strengthen social harmony and promote sustainable progress across the village.
