The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Côte d’Ivoire (CCI-Côte d’Ivoire) and the NGO Arbre de Vie have signed a partnership agreement aimed at providing professional training to 240 young people aged 14 to 22, strengthening their employability and facilitating integration into the workforce.
The agreement, formalized on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, reflects a shared commitment to place youth at the center of Côte d’Ivoire’s economic and social development.
Guissepé Nicolini, country coordinator for Arbre de Vie, highlighted the NGO’s goal of equipping young people with the skills needed to succeed in promising sectors.
“Through the agreement, the Chamber confirms its strong conviction that investment in human capital remains the foundation of inclusive and sustainable growth,” said Faman Touré, president of CCI-Ivory coast.
He added that providing young people with access to quality vocational training addresses both immediate labor market needs and prepares a generation of professionals who will contribute to the country’s long-term prosperity.
Training will be conducted at the Practical School of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Côte d’Ivoire (EPCCI), with a focus on strategic sectors of the economy. Innovative educational approaches will be integrated, including a new program combining technical skills with cultural enrichment.
Participants will benefit from courses in Italian language and culture through the Language Study Center, enhancing both personal and professional development.
“For the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Côte d’Ivoire, this partnership is not just another project. It allows us to modernize our training offerings and provide courses aligned with real job market needs, particularly in high-growth sectors such as hospitality and tourism,” Faman Touré explained.
Founded in Italy in 1998 and now active in over 30 countries, Arbre de Vie focuses on defending children’s rights, supporting young people, and promoting community development. In Côte d’Ivoire, its foundation prioritizes education, training, socio-professional integration, and the protection of vulnerable children.
The initiative represents a significant step towards equipping Ivorian youth with the practical skills and cultural knowledge necessary to thrive in a rapidly evolving economic landscape.
