Commissioners of the Independent Electoral Commission (CEI) in M’Bahiakro participated in a comprehensive training workshop on Monday, September 29, 2025, focused on the procedures for distributing voter registration cards.
The event took place at the modern high school in the departmental capital and was part of preparations for the upcoming presidential election scheduled for October 25.
During the session, CEI officials were briefed on the step-by-step process of conducting the voter card distribution operation, ensuring that all procedures comply with legal and administrative requirements.
The training is intended to equip commissioners with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage the distribution efficiently and transparently.
The voter registration card distribution is set to begin on October 11 and is considered a critical milestone in the broader electoral process.
Ensuring that voters have access to their registration cards is essential to maintaining the integrity of the election and enabling full participation across the department.
In addition to training CEI commissioners, the Commission plans to conduct outreach and educational sessions for voters in M’Bahiakro.
Residents will be informed about the locations and schedules for collecting voter cards across 118 polling stations within the department. These preparatory efforts aim to prevent confusion and ensure smooth operations during the election period.
Officials emphasized that the training and subsequent voter education initiatives are part of a broader commitment to transparency and credibility in the electoral process.
By strengthening the capacity of local CEI staff and informing voters, authorities aim to foster public confidence in the electoral system and ensure that all eligible citizens can exercise their democratic rights without impediment.
The CEI in M’Bahiakro will continue to oversee the organization and supervision of voter card distribution until the start of the presidential election campaign, maintaining close coordination with regional and national electoral authorities to guarantee a seamless process.
