The Aid Foresight programme, a series of masterclasses on humanitarian leadership, has been officially launched at the Zayed Foundation in the United Arab Emirates.
The initiative, announced by the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council (IHPC), the Bureau for Development Affairs, and the Presidential Court, aims to equip humanitarian leaders with the tools and strategies needed to navigate an increasingly complex global aid environment.
The programme is structured around four key pillars: education, capacity building, experience sharing, and strategic networking.
It seeks to enhance the skills of humanitarian professionals while promoting forward-looking leadership and innovative approaches to international aid.
Dr. Tareq Ahmed Al Ameri, Director of the Office of Development Affairs, emphasised the UAE’s commitment to strengthening global aid cooperation.
“Anticipation, innovation, and proactivity are essential to addressing the current challenges we face,” he said, highlighting the importance of digital tools for improving the implementation, monitoring, and coordination of humanitarian actions.
Over five days, participants will explore themes such as innovation and leadership, data analytics, strategic partnerships, climate and health diplomacy, innovative financing, and the geopolitical factors influencing humanitarian efforts.
The sessions are designed to provide participants with comprehensive strategies to adapt aid and development programmes to evolving global priorities.
The programme also reflects a broader UAE commitment to fostering knowledge-driven aid models that prioritise collaboration, efficiency, and sustainable impact.
By connecting experienced practitioners with emerging humanitarian leaders, Aid Foresight aims to create a network of professionals capable of responding effectively to crises while shaping the future of international aid.
Through this initiative, the UAE seeks to reinforce its position as a hub for humanitarian leadership and innovation, demonstrating a proactive approach to global challenges while promoting strategic, forward-thinking solutions for aid delivery worldwide.
