The 16th International Exhibition of Construction and Building, Carthage 2024, held from November 18 to 24 at the Kram Exhibition Park in Tunisia, has brought together over 200 exhibitors from across the construction and energy sectors.

Among the prominent participants were Huawei, Green Power Technologie, and Watany Group Energy, who showcased advanced photovoltaic solutions tailored to meet the region’s growing demand for renewable energy.

Organized biennially by the Tunis International Fairs Company in collaboration with the National Federation of Building (FNB-UTICA) and the Technical Center for Construction Materials, Ceramics, and Glass (CTMCCV), the event serves as a vital platform for fostering business partnerships, diversifying supply chains, and boosting exports in the Maghreb construction industry.

Huawei, a global leader in telecommunications and energy innovation, unveiled its cutting-edge photovoltaic solutions designed for residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, as well as large-scale solar power plants.

Farah Khalfaoui, Channel Manager for Huawei Digital Power Business in Tunisia, emphasized the company’s commitment to advancing Tunisia’s energy transition.

“Our presence at the Carthage Expo aims to promote our smart energy solutions and support the development of the construction and public works sector.

Together, we are ushering in a new era of solar energy in Tunisia, contributing to sustainability goals,” Khalfaoui stated.

Partnering with Huawei, Green Power Technologie—a global provider of photovoltaic and e-mobility solutions—highlighted its technical expertise and personalized support for projects across Africa.

Hugo Sourdrille, Regional Director for Africa at Green Power Technologie, noted:

“We offer a comprehensive range of high-value services, including training, commissioning support, and troubleshooting, to ensure the successful deployment of solar energy systems.”

Watany Group Energy, Huawei’s local distributor in Tunisia, also played a pivotal role in presenting state-of-the-art solar products and services. Co-CEO Hayfa Baatout remarked:

“We provide the most efficient photovoltaic products from leading global brands like Huawei, backed by quality after-sales services and a reliable supply chain.

This event is a prime opportunity to showcase innovative solutions for the construction and public works sector.”

The exhibition underscores Tunisia’s commitment to renewable energy and sustainable construction practices, highlighting the importance of industry collaboration in achieving regional energy goals.
