The visit comes amid ongoing discussions on the security and stability of the broader region.
In a statement, Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Director of Public Diplomacy, indicated that the visit will include high-level talks with senior Emirati officials.
“Dr. Abdel Atty’s visit is expected to involve discussions with top Emirati officials on ways to strengthen the relationship between the two brotherly nations, enhance bilateral cooperation, and exchange views on the various regional challenges that threaten the security and stability of the area,” Abu Zeid said.
During his visit, the Foreign Minister is also set to meet with prominent members of the Egyptian community in the UAE, as well as with several Emirati investors, highlighting the importance of fostering ties not only at the governmental level but also within the expatriate and business communities.
Earlier today, a UAE delegation held talks with Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum, exploring opportunities for cooperation in natural gas exploration in the Mediterranean and Delta regions.
These discussions align with a recent bid round announced by Egypt for gas exploration, underscoring the growing economic partnership between the two nations.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister’s visit to the UAE is part of broader diplomatic efforts to address pressing regional security issues.
Recent engagements have also seen Minister Abdel Atty meet with Arab ambassadors in Cairo, where discussions included topics such as the Palestinian cause and broader national security concerns.
This trip reflects the deepening ties between Egypt and the UAE, as both nations continue to work closely on regional matters of mutual interest, aiming to ensure peace and stability in the Middle East.
The discussions are expected to pave the way for new avenues of cooperation, further solidifying the partnership between Egypt and the UAE at a time of significant regional challenges.
