Egypt-Saudi alliance unshaken by media noise, says cairo chamber chief

The strategic alliance between Egypt and Saudi Arabia remains impervious to any attempts at disruption or division, according to Ayman El-Ashry, President of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce.
Speaking on Thursday, El-Ashry described the two nations as the twin pillars of the Arab world, vital for overcoming regional crises and maintaining stability across the Middle East. He stressed that no external efforts would succeed in undermining the historical and fraternal ties binding Cairo and Riyadh.
“The bilateral relationship is strong, and these baseless attempts to sow discord will not affect the deep-rooted bond between our two nations,” El-Ashry stated.
He referenced remarks made by Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly during a recent press conference, in which the premier firmly rejected any notion of tension between the allies.
“Egypt has never allowed, and will never allow, any attempts that could strain its fraternal relationship with Saudi Arabia—until the end of time,” Madbouly had said.
El-Ashry emphasized that the relationship is both strategic and fraternal, rooted in shared destiny and mutual vision when addressing the issues facing the Arab and Islamic worlds.
He added that Egyptian-Saudi relations are grounded in mutual respect and aligned goals, noting that the bond has strengthened significantly in recent years.
“The leaderships of both countries are committed to continuous coordination and consultation to confront regional challenges and serve the collective interests of the Arab and Islamic nations,” he said.
On the economic front, El-Ashry highlighted the establishment of the Egyptian-Saudi Higher Coordination Council, describing it as a transformative step toward enhancing bilateral investment, trade, and development ties.
He also pointed to recent diplomatic engagements as evidence of the alliance’s resilience. The latest meeting between Egypt’s Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdel Aty and Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan in the city of Alamein, he said, underscored the shared commitment to regional cooperation and political solutions.
“In the face of orchestrated campaigns and fabricated media noise, the unity and strategic interests of Egypt and Saudi Arabia stand strong,” El-Ashry concluded. “This alliance remains the cornerstone of regional security and peace.”
