At the Egyptian Russian University, management students are breaking new ground with innovative graduation projects that align with the rapidly evolving demands of tomorrow’s workforce.
The Faculty of Management, Economics and Business Technology recently celebrated these achievements during a distinguished event marking the first graduating class of the “Business Analytics” program and the second cohort of “Management Information Systems” (MIS).
Dr. Sherif Fakhry Mohamed Abdel Nabi, President of the university, highlighted the importance of this milestone, while Faculty Dean Dr. Tahera El Sayed Hamieh stressed the projects’ alignment with Egypt Vision 2030.
“All of the Faculty’s programs focus on future careers in data science, artificial intelligence, and business technology, supporting digital transformation and sustainable development,” she said.
Business Analytics students unveiled projects including an automated real-time pricing system for e-commerce that used advanced predictive models such as CatBoost and XGBoost, achieving a 6.04% cost reduction and 3.4% profit increase within one week.
Other standout initiatives included digital currency index forecasting employing XGBoost and LightGBM, a driver drowsiness detection system using CNN and EAR technologies, and an AI-powered sports fake news detector leveraging BERT and Gemini LLM models to enhance credibility.
Additional innovations featured an intelligent Arabic-language medical specialty recommendation system using RAG, Naïve Bayes, and Random Forest techniques, and an AI-driven financial security project employing CTGAN, LSTM, and Autoencoders to improve credit card fraud detection.
The MIS program showcased applications such as a Healthcare Information System connecting doctors, pharmacists, and labs to boost healthcare efficiency, an e-parking app for Egypt’s International Exhibition Center, and an accessible electronics store app equipped with a smart voice assistant for users with disabilities. Other projects included a Club Services Management website and a digital platform designed to enhance learning and collaboration within the university.
Judges praised the exceptional quality of these projects, noting their strong relevance to both local and global markets amid the ongoing digital revolution. This event highlights the university’s dedication to preparing graduates equipped for success in a rapidly transforming world.
