Egypt has announced a two-week extension for reservations under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians 7”, aiming to give low- and middle-income citizens additional time to secure their housing units in the second phase of the project.
Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, confirmed the extension will run until Sunday, 14 September 2025.
The decision, he said, followed requests from citizens to allow more time for the purchase of the conditions booklet, payment of reservation deposits and administrative fees.
Mai Abdel Hamid, CEO of the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund, revealed a high turnout for the initiative.
Over 207,000 specifications booklets have been sold, more than 144,000 citizens have registered applications and uploaded documents, and over 109,000 have already paid their reservation deposits at automated post offices.
“The Capital Gardens City recorded the highest demand, followed by October Gardens and New October,” she noted.
Abdel Hamid urged applicants to complete all required steps outlined in the conditions booklet, warning that incomplete applications would not be reviewed.
She also explained that applicants could modify their data on the Egypt Digital Portal by revisiting any stage of their application before submission. Payment of the reservation deposit must be made within 24 hours of completing the application, including on the final day of the announcement.
The initiative spans various governorates, with units either ready for delivery or under construction. For low-income citizens, housing options will be delivered within 36 months in governorates including Beheira, New Valley, Dakahlia, Minya, Marsa Matrouh, Damietta and the Red Sea. Ready-to-deliver units are available in Aswan, Beni Suef, Assiut, Luxor, Giza, Fayoum, Menoufia, Minya and Qena.
The Fund emphasised that payment receipts should be submitted with required documents during inquiry or contracting stages, not uploaded online. Citizens can seek assistance through the Digital Egypt Platform customer service at 15999, or via the Fund’s official social media pages and website.
