Banks across Egypt will observe a three-day break following a directive by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) to suspend operations in observance of the Prophet’s Birthday.
The CBE confirmed in an official statement that all banks will halt work starting Thursday, September 4, to mark the occasion. #
The holiday will coincide with the regular weekend, as Friday and Saturday are already designated official days off in the country.
Normal banking operations will resume on Sunday, September 7.
This decision affects all banks operating within Egypt and ensures employees enjoy an extended break to commemorate the religious holiday.
