Egypt and germany to deepen economic ties in high-level bilateral talks

Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdel Aati is set to hold crucial bilateral discussions on Sunday with Germany’s Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Reem Alabali-Radovan, as the two nations seek to strengthen their partnership in development and economic cooperation.
The high-level talks, scheduled to take place in New Alamein City, will include senior delegations from both Egypt and Germany.
The discussions are expected to cover a wide range of areas, including sustainable development, infrastructure investment, renewable energy, and joint economic initiatives.
Following the talks, a tripartite press conference will be held at the Cabinet headquarters, featuring Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, Egypt’s Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, and Minister Radovan.
The briefing is anticipated to highlight new agreements, joint ventures, and upcoming collaborative projects between the two nations.
The visit underscores Germany’s growing interest in bolstering economic and development ties with Egypt, a key strategic partner in the MENA region.
It also reflects Egypt’s ongoing efforts to position itself as a hub for international investment and cooperation, particularly through partnerships that align with Egypt’s Vision 2030 development strategy.
Egypt and Germany have a longstanding history of diplomatic and economic collaboration, with Germany playing a significant role in supporting development initiatives across energy, education, and vocational training sectors.
Sunday’s meetings are expected to lay the groundwork for expanded cooperation in the coming years, with a strong emphasis on inclusive growth, climate-conscious development, and the integration of German expertise and investment into Egypt’s ambitious national projects.
