Côte d’Ivoire showcases startup innovation at vivatech 2025: A strategic leap into global tech spotlight

Côte d’Ivoire seized the global stage at Vivatech 2025, one of the world’s most prominent technology and innovation expos, held from June 11 to 14 in Paris. The West African nation used the platform to elevate its growing ecosystem of digital startups and demonstrate its commitment to a technology-driven future.
Leading the Ivorian delegation were Kalil Konaté, Minister of Digital Transition and Digitalisation, and Mamadou Touré, Minister of Youth Promotion, Professional Integration, and Civic Service.
Their presence underscored the government’s strategic priority to position youth and technology at the heart of the country’s economic transformation.
“Vivatech is an exceptional opportunity to promote our startups and give international visibility to the innovations made in Côte d’Ivoire,” said Kalil Konaté, highlighting the significance of the country’s involvement.
The event drew tech giants, investors, and policymakers from across the globe, offering Côte d’Ivoire’s entrepreneurs the chance to connect with potential partners, secure funding, and share ideas with leading minds in artificial intelligence, fintech, health tech, and green technology.
For Minister Mamadou Touré, the participation also symbolized a broader national ambition.
“Supporting startups means creating jobs, empowering our youth, and fostering inclusive growth,” he stated. The country’s investment in digital skills and tech entrepreneurship is widely seen as a pillar for sustainable development.
Côte d’Ivoire’s pavilion at Vivatech featured a lineup of promising startups selected for their innovation and scalability.
The exhibit attracted attention for its diversity of solutions—from mobile health apps to renewable energy platforms—reflecting a tech sector in full expansion.
The government’s commitment to fostering innovation, combined with access to global tech networks, places Côte d’Ivoire among Africa’s most dynamic players in the digital revolution.
Vivatech 2025, for the Ivorian delegation, was not just an exhibition—but a declaration of intent.
