Kitoko Gata Ngoulou, recently appointed as Chad’s Minister of Women and Early Childhood on 16 July 2025, convened her first official meeting with ministry personnel on Monday, marking the start of her leadership at the helm of the department.
The meeting, held at the ministry’s headquarters, was described by the communications office as both solemn and filled with warmth, setting a collaborative tone for the months ahead.
During her opening remarks, Minister Ngoulou expressed deep appreciation for the vision of the President of the Republic, particularly referencing “Chantier 5” — a national development pillar focused on strengthening human capital. She emphasized that this initiative places women and children at the very core of the country’s socio-economic progress.
“Chantier 5 is a commitment to our future, and I salute the enlightened vision of the Head of State who has made the empowerment of women and the protection of children a national priority,” Ngoulou stated.
She also called on staff to maintain a spirit of professionalism, unity, and dedication in order to translate policy into tangible results.
“This ministry holds a sacred responsibility. It is through your work that our communities will feel the impact of government action,” she said.
The minister’s message resonated with attendees, who welcomed her with optimism and pledged their support in advancing key programs related to gender equality, maternal health, childhood protection, and education.
As Chad faces mounting socio-economic challenges, Minister Ngoulou’s leadership is expected to bring fresh momentum to the ministry’s mission of promoting women’s rights and safeguarding the well-being of the nation’s youngest citizens.
Her appointment comes at a pivotal time, as the government seeks to intensify efforts in social policy and inclusive development in line with national and international commitments.
