Chad’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Chadians Abroad, Dr. Abdoulaye Sabre Fadoul, is taking part in the 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which officially opened on June 21 in Istanbul, Turkey.
Themed “The OIC in a Changing World,” the summit convenes at a time of deep geopolitical turbulence, particularly with the escalating conflict between Iran and Israel.
Dr. Fadoul leads the Chadian delegation, which includes Chad’s ambassadors to Saudi Arabia and Turkey — Hassan Saleh Algadam Aldjinedi and Adoum Dangaï Nokour Guet — along with Special Advisor Mahamat Saleh Abdeldjelil and several senior foreign ministry officials.
Their presence underscores Chad’s commitment to strengthening multilateral diplomacy within the Islamic world.
The Istanbul summit, hosted by the Republic of Turkey, brings together foreign ministers from across the 57-member bloc to deliberate on urgent political, security, economic, and humanitarian challenges facing Muslim-majority countries.
This year’s agenda is particularly significant, with growing concerns over regional stability in the Middle East, mounting humanitarian crises in Gaza and Sudan, and the strategic repositioning of Islamic nations on the global stage.
Dr. Fadoul is expected to deliver a speech addressing Chad’s position on regional cooperation, the need for Islamic unity in times of division, and strategies for strengthening peace and development across OIC member states.
His intervention is also likely to spotlight Chad’s diplomatic role in the Sahel and its commitment to the principles of solidarity and sovereignty in international relations.
As the Islamic world confronts an era of profound transformation, the 51st OIC session is seen as a critical opportunity for nations like Chad to assert their voice and contribute to shaping the future of collective action within the Ummah.
