Cameroon: Bruno Bidjang hails four decades of steady progress under Paul Biya’s leadership

Journalist Bruno Bidjang, media director of the Anecdote Group, has publicly reaffirmed his unwavering support for President Paul Biya, praising the head of state’s leadership as the cornerstone of Cameroon’s stability and development over the past 40 years.
Bidjang emphasized that “for more than four decades, Cameroon has been moving forward steadily” under Biya’s “enlightened leadership,” highlighting the president’s enduring role in steering the nation through a complex and rapidly changing world.
“In a constantly changing world, where certainties are wavering and governance models are running out of steam, Cameroon remains strong, faithful to a trajectory of stability, sovereignty, and progressive development,” Bidjang said. He credited the president as “a statesman of proven wisdom, long-term vision, and unwavering commitment to peace.”
Under Biya’s stewardship, Cameroon has made political stability its foundation, social peace a lever for progress, and dialogue a guiding principle of governance.
Bidjang pointed to the president’s calm and strategic approach during critical periods marked by economic crises, security threats, and social transformations—factors that have destabilized many nations on the continent.
“At every major stage in the country’s recent history, the President has kept a cool head, made the right decisions at the right time, and protected the country from serious upheavals,” Bidjang remarked.
“His patience, strategic intelligence, and knowledge of the country’s deep-seated balances make him a benchmark and guardian of national cohesion.”
With decisive elections looming, the journalist said Biya’s vision “forms the foundations of a peaceful future,” noting the president’s calls for unity, respect for institutions, and republican continuity as hallmarks of political maturity.
“While others are agitated by noise and emotion, Paul Biya builds in silence and depth. While some improvise as internet revolutionaries, he works to leave a legacy of stability, modernity, and national dignity,” Bidjang concluded.
For many Cameroonians, the name Paul Biya remains synonymous with steady leadership amid uncertainty—an emblem of resilience and continuity in a challenging era.
