
Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek, President and Acting President of Cairo University, carried out a comprehensive inspection of the university’s private campus in 6th of October City on Wednesday, overseeing final arrangements for the 2025/2026 academic year.
Dr. Abdel Sadek visited key facilities across the campus, beginning with Building (1), which houses lecture halls, study spaces, and offices for deans and academic program coordinators.
He also toured Building (B), dedicated to laboratories, libraries, reading rooms, and faculty offices.
The university president examined the readiness of smart classrooms and reviewed technological infrastructure, including computer labs, interactive displays, sound systems, and student service areas. Civil protection systems were also assessed as part of the tour.
Highlighting the importance of a comprehensive learning environment, Dr. Abdel Sadek urged the swift completion of remaining construction work, including the equipping of parking areas, contracting of new cafeteria services, and the development of athletic fields to promote student engagement and extracurricular activities.
The inspection was conducted alongside members of the university’s advisory committee, led by Dr. Mohamed El-Attar, assistant to the university president.
He was joined by Dr. Jihan El-Meniawy, former dean of the Faculty of Physical Therapy; Professor Nasr El-Ruby, director of the Central Administration of the University President’s Sector; and a number of academic and administrative officials.
Dr. Abdel Sadek also ordered the creation of four library service halls spanning multiple disciplines, including medicine, engineering, humanities, and social sciences.
Additionally, he directed the establishment of a state-of-the-art electronic library, curated in collaboration with faculty members and stocked with scientific references and journals to bolster students’ academic and research pursuits.
He confirmed that the Supreme Council of Universities has already approved several academic program regulations, with further approvals underway.
Applications for admission to the private colleges will be submitted through a fully integrated electronic system, which will be announced soon.
Tuition fees will be disclosed at a later date, determined through a balanced formula that reflects both the quality of education offered and the real cost of delivering it, ensuring accessibility while maintaining high standards.
