Teachers from the Kampti Basic Education District have officially launched their annual pedagogical conference, joining colleagues across Burkina Faso in a four-day gathering focused on enhancing educational practices.
The event, held from October 15 to 18, is themed “Implementation of Educational Reforms and Appropriation of Integration Situations.”
Siaka Nawara Gnoumou, Head of the Kampti Basic Education District (CCEB), welcomed participants and emphasised the value of the conference as a platform for sharing experiences and exchanging best practices.
“This gathering provides a privileged space for pedagogical dialogue,” he said. “Practical arrangements, including the use of the municipal meeting hall for the full four days, have been made to ensure the smooth running of the sessions.”
Mr Gnoumou encouraged teachers to fully engage with the discussions, underlining the link between professional development and improved learning outcomes for students in the region.
The opening ceremony was officially led by Bêbê Kambiré, First Vice-President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of Kampti, representing the PDS.
Mr Kambiré read a message from the Minister of National Education, calling on participants to continue fostering patriotism and dedication to national service.
He also highlighted that October, designated as a month of patriotic engagement and civic participation, should serve as a period of reflection and action against ignorance, which he described as a major obstacle to development.
Throughout the conference, educators are expected to focus on the practical application of recent educational reforms and explore strategies for integrating new methodologies into classroom practice.
The sessions aim to strengthen teaching effectiveness, enhance student learning, and encourage professional collaboration across schools.
The Kampti pedagogical conference reflects Burkina Faso’s ongoing commitment to investing in teacher development as a cornerstone of national progress.
By equipping educators with the skills and knowledge to adapt to evolving educational standards, the initiative seeks to advance quality learning and foster a culture of excellence in the country’s classrooms.
