Teachers from the Basic Education District (CEB) of Dolo gathered on Wednesday for the opening of their annual pedagogical conference, aimed at strengthening teaching capacities and enhancing the implementation of educational reforms across the commune.
The four-day event, running until October 18, was held in the meeting room of the Dolo town hall and chaired by Ilassa Ouedraogo, Prefect and President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of Dolo.
Speaking at the opening, Ouedraogo praised the dedication of education stakeholders and encouraged participants to “make this conference a strategic lever for the quality of education in the commune of Dolo.”
The conference, organized under the theme “Implementation of educational reforms and appropriation of integration situations,” brings together teachers to discuss and exchange experiences on modern pedagogical approaches.
Participants will explore key sub-themes including the Orientation Framework for Continuing Education and Pedagogical Supervision (COFCEP), the implementation of educational reforms, and the effective adoption of CE sub-cycle curricula and support tools.
Workshops, group discussions, and plenary sessions will cover practical topics such as the development and correction of integration exercises, the introduction of oral English from CE1, and the integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in classrooms.
Teachers will also engage with digital educational resources, including applications, guides, and multimedia supports, designed to enhance student learning outcomes.
The conference will conclude with a comprehensive evaluation and the presentation of a general report, highlighting achievements, lessons learned, and future prospects for improving teaching practices within the municipality.
This annual gathering reflects Burkina Faso’s ongoing commitment to continuous professional development for educators and the broader goal of improving the quality and effectiveness of education for students across the country.
