In a significant step towards improving healthcare delivery in the Gontougo region, Minister of State Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani officially handed over a substantial consignment of biomedical equipment to the Regional Public Hospital Establishment (EPHR) of Bondoukou on Saturday, June 29, 2025.
The donation, composed of around sixty hospital beds—including ten advanced electric models—seven incubators, two operating tables, and various essential medical tools, was warmly received by hospital staff and local officials.
The new equipment is expected to dramatically enhance the quality of patient care and alleviate pressure on overstretched medical teams.
“Health is priceless,” declared Minister Adjoumani during the symbolic handover ceremony.
He emphasized the importance of collective effort in maintaining progress and called for continued collaboration to transform the Bondoukou EPHR into a benchmark for healthcare excellence in the region.
Reaffirming his dedication to health infrastructure development, Mr. Adjoumani pledged to work hand-in-hand with local leaders and medical professionals to expand healthcare access and elevate standards across Gontougo.
In response, EPHR Director Bahi Adolphe expressed heartfelt appreciation for the government’s support, hailing the moment as transformative for the hospital.
“Today, the sun rose on our facility.
Thanks to these seven incubators, compared to only three until now, we will be able to welcome and care for our premature babies in optimal conditions.
Our operating theaters will have their platforms modernized, and our patients will sleep on comfortable beds,” he said.
Mr. Bahi also praised the government’s vital advocacy, stressing the shared responsibility now resting on the shoulders of healthcare staff.
He urged professionalism, transparency, and clear communication in daily practice.
“We train our teams to clearly share useful information while maintaining confidentiality,” he reassured, noting that communication should empower patients without breaching professional secrecy.
The ceremony marked a hopeful chapter for the Bondoukou EPHR, with stakeholders united in their commitment to delivering safer, more dignified healthcare for all.
