The long-awaited results of the 2025 Baccalaureate in Benin are set to be released on July 9, according to Serge Nonvignon, a member of the communications unit within the Beninese presidency.
This announcement marks a crucial phase for thousands of students who sat for the national examination in June.
The correction of the written papers is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 30, and will continue through Saturday, July 5.
Following the first round of deliberations, candidates deemed admissible will be invited to take part in the optional tests on Saturday, July 12.
These will be followed by physical education and sports examinations on July 14 and 15, with oral assessments taking place on July 18 and 19.
The second and final deliberation will occur on July 19.
The distribution of individual transcripts is slated for July 21 and 22, concluding the 2025 examination process.
This year’s Baccalaureate session saw a significant rise in participation.
A total of 79,588 candidates registered across 140 exam centres nationwide, marking a 5.25% increase from 2024, when 75,381 students took part.
Among those registered, 35,667 were girls, up from 32,941 the previous year—an encouraging sign of improved gender parity in education.
The Minister of Secondary Education attributed this growing interest to renewed public confidence in the education system, crediting the series of reforms implemented since 2016.
Notably, technical education is gaining momentum. In 2025, 8,178 students enrolled in technical tracks, compared to just 4,027 in 2021.
The increase aligns with national efforts to strengthen vocational training and enhance youth employability.
As anticipation builds, the Ministry of Education assures that all steps are being taken to ensure a transparent and efficient evaluation process.
For thousands of students and their families, July 9 will be a defining moment—one that could shape their academic and professional futures.
