The Algerian-Italian Business Forum has officially opened in Rome, marking a key event in President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s state visit to Italy aimed at deepening economic and diplomatic ties between the two nations.
The forum is being jointly hosted by Algeria’s Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, alongside Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani.
The high-level gathering brings together senior government officials, business leaders, and industry representatives from both countries, with discussions expected to focus on boosting bilateral trade, expanding investment opportunities, and exploring new avenues for cooperation in energy, infrastructure, and technology sectors.
The event underscores the growing partnership between Algeria and Italy, with Rome emerging as a key ally in North Africa for energy security and trade development. It also reflects Algeria’s broader strategy to diversify its economic partnerships while strengthening its position as a pivotal player in Mediterranean and African markets.
President Tebboune’s visit, which includes meetings with Italian leaders and business executives, is expected to yield agreements aimed at promoting joint ventures, facilitating investment flows, and enhancing strategic collaboration in sectors such as renewable energy and industrial development.
The forum, taking place against a backdrop of global economic uncertainty, highlights both nations’ efforts to solidify their economic relationship while fostering opportunities for private sector growth and innovation.
