Algeria has commemorated the 63rd anniversary of the founding of its national police force in a solemn ceremony led by Director General of National Security, Ali Badaoui.
During the event held on Tuesday at the headquarters of the General Directorate of National Security, Badaoui laid a wreath at the “Wall of Loyalty” memorial. Joined by senior security officials, he paid tribute to the martyrs who lost their lives in the line of duty, reaffirming the force’s enduring commitment to national service and sacrifice.
The commemoration was held under the theme: “Pride in Belonging, Professionalism in Performance… Loyalty to the Martyrs’ Legacy.
“ The slogan reflects the institution’s guiding values as it continues to modernize and uphold public safety while honoring those who laid the foundation of its mission.
The anniversary comes at a time when Algeria’s police service is undergoing significant transformation aimed at enhancing professionalism, public trust, and operational efficiency. Badaoui emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices of past generations while striving to build a forward-looking and responsive security apparatus.
