Algeria and U.S. reaffirm strategic hartnership in high-Level meeting on African .

Algeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, received Masad Boulos, the Senior Advisor to the President of the United States for Africa, on Sunday at the Ministry’s headquarters in Algiers.
The visit began with a private meeting between Minister Attaf and Mr. Boulos, followed by an extended session involving officials from both delegations. According to a statement from the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the discussions offered a comprehensive review of the current state of Algerian-American relations and explored pathways to elevate bilateral ties to their fullest potential.
Both sides expressed satisfaction with the ongoing strategic dialogue between Algeria and the United States and highlighted the positive momentum that the partnership has gained in several priority sectors. These include defense cooperation, energy, agriculture, higher education, and scientific research.
The talks also reflected a shared appreciation for the growing coordination between Algiers and Washington within the framework of the United Nations Security Council. In this context, both delegations exchanged perspectives and analyses on key developments across the African continent.
Particular attention was given to the situations in Libya and Western Sahara, as well as security and stability challenges in the Sahel, the Great Lakes region, and the broader sub-Saharan context.
The discussions underscored the mutual interest of both nations in fostering peace, sustainable development, and regional integration across Africa.
Sunday’s meeting marks another step in the deepening of Algeria-U.S. relations, reinforcing a partnership that is increasingly aligned on geopolitical, economic, and humanitarian priorities across the African continent.
