Algeria’s national carrier, Air Algérie, has announced the immediate suspension of all flights to and from Amman, Jordan, amid mounting regional security concerns.
The decision, which takes effect immediately and applies until further notice, was communicated in an official statement issued by the airline on Friday.
“For security reasons, it has been decided to cancel all flights to and from the Jordanian capital, Amman, until further notice,” the airline stated.
Air Algérie did not elaborate on the specific nature of the threat, but the move comes as tensions escalate across parts of the Middle East, prompting heightened alertness from regional governments and aviation authorities.
The airline expressed regret for the disruption caused by the suspension and assured passengers that it would provide timely updates.
