Algeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, received farewell visits on Monday from the ambassadors of Sudan, Egypt, and Sweden, whose diplomatic tenures in the country have come to an end.
According to an official statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the minister hosted Sudan’s Ambassador Nadia Mohamed Khair Othman, Egypt’s Ambassador Mokhtar Gamiel Tawfik Wreida, and Sweden’s Ambassador Björn Häggmark at the ministry’s headquarters in Algiers.
The visits mark the conclusion of the ambassadors’ assignments in Algeria and were an opportunity for the minister to express the country’s appreciation for the efforts each diplomat has made in strengthening bilateral ties during their respective mandates.
“These farewell meetings reflect Algeria’s commitment to diplomacy and mutual respect with its international partners,” the ministry noted.
The three diplomats, who have served during a dynamic period of regional and international developments, were commended for advancing cooperation in areas ranging from trade and security to cultural exchange.
