Yango group launches new abidjan hub to lead Africa’s digital future

Yango Group, a UAE-based global technology company, has officially opened a new regional headquarters in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, marking a major step forward in its African expansion strategy.
The office will coordinate the company’s operations across the continent and serve as a launchpad for its growing investment in local innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital infrastructure.
The move reflects Yango’s deepening presence on the continent, where it already operates in 16 countries and employs around 200 people.
With plans to rapidly expand, the new Abidjan hub represents Yango’s largest African office and the core of its continental strategy.
“This new regional office in Abidjan is a new chapter in our journey across Africa. Our strategy is to build digital ecosystems that empower countries from within — using global technologies, but always rooted in local realities,” said Daniil Shuleyko, CEO of Yango Group.
“Africa was where our journey started — and today, we are investing in the future by making Abidjan home to our largest office in Africa — and the center of our strategy for the continent.”
A Tech Ecosystem Rooted in Africa
Since its African debut in Côte d’Ivoire in 2018, Yango has evolved into a provider of diverse digital services — from ride-hailing and food delivery to navigation, e-commerce, and payments — all integrated into one “Super App.
” The company’s goal is to create inclusive, locally grounded ecosystems that drive economic opportunity.
By blending global expertise with a hyperlocal approach, Yango seeks to empower small businesses, couriers, drivers, and users alike.
It aims to continue scaling this model across the continent while introducing new tech-based solutions tailored to Africa’s unique needs.
Expanding the Yango Fellowship Across Africa
To further its commitment to sustainable growth, Yango is also investing in the next generation of digital talent through the expansion of the Yango Fellowship.
Originally launched in Côte d’Ivoire, the program will now operate at a pan-African level, helping equip thousands of young people with digital skills for the future.
“Our mission goes beyond providing digital services,” Shuleyko explained. “By investing in talent and skills, especially among young people, we’re helping build the foundation for long-term innovation and self-sustaining digital ecosystems across Africa.
With programs like the Yango Fellowship, we want to empower the next generation of African tech leaders.”
With Abidjan now at the center of its African operations, Yango Group is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the continent’s digital economy for years to come.
