he Ivorian government is set to launch an ambitious housing project aimed at improving the living conditions of media professionals across the country.
On Monday, 28 July 2025, the Prime Minister, who also serves as Minister of Sports and Living Conditions, will officially inaugurate the construction of 300 housing units dedicated to those working in the communications sector.
This initiative is part of the broader Presidential Social and Economic Housing Program (PPLSE) and reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening social welfare for key contributors to national development.
The launch ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Ahoué site, located along the Abidjan-Alépé axis near the Y4 bypass, and will be organized by the Ministry of Communication.
The residential complex, named Résidences Les Jardins d’Ahoué, will provide a modern and integrated living environment, developed by the Ivorian private firm Kaydan, which specializes in promoting social housing solutions. The project marks a significant recognition of the vital role played by media professionals in the country’s democratic and socio-economic progress.
Led by the Ministry of Communication with support from the Media Support and Development Agency (ASDM) and in partnership with the MS-Médias Journalists’ Mutual Fund, the program aims to promote human capital development within the media sector by offering affordable and quality housing options.
The launch event will bring together senior government officials, representatives of media organizations, technical and financial partners, and various stakeholders involved in the project. This housing initiative underscores the government’s focus on improving the welfare of professionals who serve as the backbone of Côte d’Ivoire’s information and communication landscape.
By investing in social infrastructure tailored for media workers, Ivory Coast is advancing its commitment to social inclusion and sustainable development in a sector critical to national unity and progress.
