In Madinani, Ivory Coast, prefectural authorities have begun a vigorous campaign to mobilize local leaders and communities in preparation for the nation’s 65th Independence Day celebrations.
On July 23, 2025, Kouakou Kouakou Michel, Secretary General of Madinani Prefecture, issued a call to action to ensure widespread engagement and a successful commemoration.
Yao Kouamé Privat, departmental director of animal and fisheries resources and head of the event’s organizing committee, emphasized the importance of community involvement.
“This celebration must be a success,” he asserted, urging members of the committee to actively raise awareness and galvanize participation across the region.
Preparatory activities have already been scheduled, including a Clean City Operation aimed at enhancing public spaces, fitness events, a Maracaña Zone football tournament, parade rehearsals, and dedicated days of prayer.
These initiatives serve a dual purpose: not only to mark the historic milestone but also to foster a spirit of peace and unity among residents.
The prefectural administration highlighted that this mobilization forms part of a broader peace-awareness campaign, appealing to all stakeholders to contribute toward maintaining harmony during the festivities.
Community members and local officials alike welcomed the initiative, pledging their full support to ensure that the 65th anniversary observance is memorable and inclusive. This collaborative spirit reflects Ivory Coast’s ongoing commitment to celebrating its independence with pride, unity, and a shared vision for the future.
