The Republic of Niger has officially inaugurated its new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Chad, His Excellency Mohamed Anacko, following a formal credentials ceremony held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, in N’Djamena.
Ambassador Anacko presented his letters of credence to Marshal Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, President of the Republic of Chad, during a solemn event that signals a renewed commitment to strengthening bilateral ties between the two neighbouring nations.
The occasion, attended by senior Chadian officials, marks the official start of Anacko’s mission in Chad, where Niger and its eastern neighbour continue to share longstanding political, economic, and cultural connections.
Appointed by presidential decree on January 8, Ambassador Anacko emphasized Niger’s dedication to revitalizing its diplomatic agenda with Chad.
He reaffirmed his commitment to fostering robust collaboration across key sectors including diplomacy, security, trade, and cultural exchange.
“This appointment is both an honour and a responsibility,” said Anacko during the ceremony. “I will work tirelessly to deepen the bonds of friendship and cooperation that unite our two peoples.”
