The African Lemonade and Soft Drinks Company (SOLIBRA) has deepened its commitment to public health in Ivory coast with a major donation of biomedical equipment to Saint Jean-Baptiste Hospital in Bôdô, located in the commune of N’douci.
The donation was presented during a ceremony marking the hospital’s tenth anniversary on Friday, June 20.
It further consolidates a three-year partnership between SOLIBRA and the healthcare institution, centred around improving emergency response services for critically ill patients and road accident victims.
Speaking at the event, Linda Okossi-Assamoi, SOLIBRA’s Director of Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility, highlighted the strategic importance of the company’s investment.
“This resuscitation unit was established to provide rapid and effective care in life-threatening emergencies. Today’s donation strengthens that capability and ensures that our partnership endures,” she stated.
The newly donated equipment includes an electric syringe pump, a multi-parameter monitoring monitor, an electrocardiogram (ECG) device, both manual and electric blood pressure monitors, an otoscope, a hemoglobinometer, and a fully equipped bandage kit.
These additions complement the state-of-the-art infrastructure already in use at the hospital’s emergency resuscitation station, which SOLIBRA helped commission in 2024.
Okossi-Assamoi reaffirmed the company’s commitment to healthcare development, announcing an upcoming awareness campaign targeting road safety and the prevention of avoidable diseases.
The campaign will span the region and extend to other parts of the country, reinforcing SOLIBRA’s role in promoting health and safety through its corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Healthcare workers at Saint Jean-Baptiste Hospital expressed their gratitude, noting the positive impact the equipment will have on patient outcomes.
As emergency services in the region face increasing demand, the bolstered facility is expected to save more lives and enhance medical responsiveness in critical cases.
With this latest initiative, SOLIBRA continues to demonstrate how public-private partnerships can serve as vital engines for sustainable health development in Côte d’Ivoire.
