Mauritania’s Minister of Culture, Arts, Communication, and Parliamentary Relations, Hussein Ould Madou, has canceled a planned trip to Madrid to join the presidential delegation.
This change comes amidst urgent preparations for an upcoming cultural festival in Chinguetti, scheduled for mid-December.
Minister Ould Madou was initially instructed to travel to the Spanish capital to accompany President Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani and the presidential delegation.
President Ghazouani arrived in Madrid late Wednesday night as part of a broader international tour that includes a subsequent visit to the United Arab Emirates.
Sources close to the minister disclosed to “Info News” that his sudden travel plans were disrupted due to the urgent demands of organizing the cultural festival.
